The stops, in order
- Sagrada FamíliaWelcome to the Sagrada Família, the life's work of Antoni Gaudí and the most iconic landmark in Barcelona. This monumental basilica, begun in 1882, is an architectural manifesto of Catalan Modernism, blending organic forms, deep Christian symbolism, and daring structural innovations. Admire its facades, carved like Bibles in stone, depicting the Nativity and the Passion of Christ.
- Casa BatllóThis is Casa Batlló, a dazzling jewel of Modernism located on the prestigious Passeig de Gràcia. Nicknamed the 'House of Bones' due to its skull-shaped balconies and femur-like columns, this work by Gaudí is an explosion of color and imagination. The undulating facade, covered in multicolored ceramic fragments, sparkles in the light like fish scales.
- La PedreraYou are admiring Casa Milà, better known as 'La Pedrera', or the stone quarry, because of its raw and massive appearance. This last civil work by Antoni Gaudí, built between 1906 and 1912, is famous for its undulating stone facade and wrought-iron balconies with interlacing vegetal shapes. The building was an engineering feat for its time, featuring a self-supporting structure without internal load-bearing walls.
